I appreciate all the sweet comments so far & I can't wait to hear what you guys have to say in the future :)
the random happenings of a crazy wife*
It was totally worth waking up at 5 AM this morning and driving 40 miles out of the way. Yes, 5 AM because my lovely husband likes to work out at that time....and leave lights on :) Anyways, I had to get up early in attempt to get there by 7...which was more like 7:15...and I was done at 8am! And the guy even knew how to pronounce my last name without having to tell him! So my day started out well & was good for the rest of the day, minus minor details. I'm going to bed now, this whole 5AM thing doesn't work out so well for me.
So pretty much, I think the skirt is ruined. Guess it's good that I rarely wear it huh? Well we're about to head out to pint night...woohoo for socializing!! :) And tomorrow, I am going to go get my driver's license...supposedly my last DMV experience was so rewarding. I will be hauling my butt out of bed at 5 something in order to look halfway decent for a license pic, drive 20 mi out of the way to not wait in that 28 people ahead of you line, and hopefully make it to work by 8. Lucky for me, my boss is very understanding. Now to avoid enjoying pint night too much....
Last night, I decided that because I have such a hard time waking up in the morning, I was going to go to SLEEP at 9. Well, 9 rolls around & I kiss Drew good night, check out the arkansas game score...and go to bed...and then Chaney texted me about the Hogs. So I had to turn it on. Woo Pig Sooie. We had tied the game in the 9th inning & on to inning 10, and inning 11, and finally inning 12. All were scoreless until FINALLY we scored a run. So thank you hogs for winning, for causing me to almost have a heartattack, and for making me go to bed 2 1/2 hours later...

well, drew's at a baseball game so amanda & i decided to hit the patio & try new, fun drinks. I had a blast. I am so happy we got to do that. We've already started planning margarita night with some other girls so I'm, of course, pumped.
This picture doesn't even do it justice. The winds were stronger than I had EVER seen. Thankfully I was in a brand new hotel with plenty of shelter (alot better than being on the 3rd story of an apartment). We have iron furniture on the patio outside & it flew into the parking lot. It was absolutely insane. People were stopping for shelter. It was insane. Anyways, about 5:45, the winds had calmed down so I decided to drive home.
When I finally was able to get through to drew (cell phones werent working), he said our power was out...so I get to the gate & the person in front of me keeps trying to open the gate with his car. Listen dude, clearly the gate it wide open on both sides. And it's not closing. Quit trying to open it & drive through!!! Our power didn't come back on last night so THANKFULLY, we headed to Amanda's to stay the night. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Here are some cool pics of the sky. All of these were taken on my phone so ignore the quality.
So there I am, standing in the world's longest line. It's hot. I'm in heels & signs everywhere say NO CELL PHONES. Ridiculous.
But he didn't. He unblocked the street for me. So anyways, get to the SS office. Am there for about 15 minutes, playing on the internet on my phone. Security guard comes up to me and says "Ma'am, you're not allowed to use your phone in here" Well, I'm not talking on it (figuring they just didnt want people to be loud & obnoxious, talking on their phone) "Touching buttons counts as using it". Fine! ALL OF YOU PEOPLE SUCK.
Well, we are officially open for business folks. We had A LOT of walk-ins tonight. But don't you worry, I cleaned from 8am until 6:15 pm and the only reason I left is because I have been getting too much overtime (the only benefit of not being salary). My feet were killing me & I am exhausted so drew suggested a bubble bath & wine. Good idea. My feet feel so much better and I am so relaxed, I could fall asleep at 7:30..lol.
So we got to go home this weekend....so much fun but too little time. I didnt get off work til 7:30 so by the time we left, it was 8. Around 1ish, we FINALLY got there.
the bachelorette alone...well actually, i'm bored so i'm watching i'm a celebrity get me out of here because of all the drama with heidi & spencer (so annoying, but so addicting) plus I used to work for NBC so I have to support :)
*Always remember to fill it with ice before you start brewing, otherwise it'll break the pitcher*
I tried stuff a long the way & I REALLY liked the asparagus cooked like this. Great flavor. So even if you dont want to eat pasta & need a good way to cook a veggie. This is a healthy, easy, delicious way.
Have I mentioned I'm pumped for our trip to destin??? July, come quickly please!

This morning I came down the stairs to see ALL of these evil things standing there (and drew had already left) so I decided to walk towards the big one (to the right) and hiss right back at him....well then they all charged me HISSING. ALL of them. UGH. So I had to walk around the building and was almost late to work. I had to document them once I got to my car so you could understand my fear. Somebody is going to have to call PETA on me...because I'm about to get the pepper spray....

No, I'm not dead. Just far away. Well, I have officially completed my first week of work. Yes! I love to get paid! Lol. It was a good week. It's complete chaos until the hotel opens & once it opens I think I will be VERY busy. But thats ok I'd much rather be busy than bored. I sat thru orientation all day....they ordered pizza and continued to orientate as we ate (haha i rhymed) anyways, they are a lot more strict here than at any of my other jobs so if you text or email me during the day & i don't respond...it's because I can't. I'd like to avoid being fired if possible.
Drew has been swamped at work too. I think we are both very excited to relax this weekend (and go to the pool!!!!!) We may go shop around for a kitchen table & see if there are any memorial day deals. And I need to open a bank account...although drew probably likes me not having one right now (i cant spend any money lol).
We are both so blessed and we are grateful for such amazing friends & family & jobs. I love married life! I definitely could not do it without drew. Although, it will take some getting used to my new name (unofficial still). When I introduce myself, I now just say hi! I'm alicia. LOL. Honestly don't think both names go together but oh well, I just need to get used to it haha :) at least I can still have fun trying to get people to pronounce it. (my fav part about my maiden name was how badly people botched it!)
Anyways, it's friday. I think I deserve a beer.
Peace* xo

So we decided on a 3 bedroom apartment instead of buying a house. I think we both want to feel out the city before we commit to an area...which is fine. The apts are in between our work & I can come home for lunch everyday (perks of no friends = saving $$$).
This place is so different from my little city. Today, at walmart, these people got into it in the self checkout line because someone thought someone else was cutting blahblah. I was praying neither had a gun. haha. i'm just kidding...kinda. It's definitely a rougher town and I refuse to watch the news (and I LOVE to watch the news & be up to date on stuff) for my own mental sanity...
Well anyways, I know I started this blog to let everyone know about the wedding but if people comment enough *cough cough* then I will try to keep you updated on newlywed life :) :) :)

I walked out from Drew's apt to find these little friends...they were walking all around the parking lot and grass so I decided to chase them...haha.
I also made a pit stop to the brand new dunkin donuts as soon as I got there. It's not that far from Drew's house so this could be a problem.
