dallas & infections

Well, I'm back from dallas & we had a blast. It was so good to be able to hang out with all my friends all together in one place. It's sad to think it may be awhile before we are all together again!

So today I had to go to the doctor because i have a very bad habit of picking at my cuticles...one of them has become insanely infected so i have tried to self treat but i finially decided to go to the doc when my finger was hurting and i took off the bandaid & it was BLACK and purple and swollen and hot....anyways.....and i have a sinus infection...of course. because i ALWAYS have sinus infections lol.

I have been insanely busy since we got back from the big D. Drew & I met my pastor who is marrying us and I am very excited about it.

38 more days...so close. i'm way pumped.

My bachelorette party is this weekend - in Dallas. I am super pumped. Of course the one weekend I'm out of town, Drew comes into town hah. They are supposed to have baseball tournaments but its supposed to snow. yes, next week is april. NWA has bipolar weather...seriously.

I can't believe tomorrow will be 6 weeks until the wedding. We've already started getting RSVP's.

I get overwhelmed when I try to think about all that is going to happen in the next 6 weeks (only 2 more paychecks...eeeek!) so I just have to take one day at a time...prayers would be appreciated! I need a job and obviously it's not a good time to be looking but God will provide. I had dinner with Suzanne - who I miss like crazy, see pic below - and she reminded me of all the times God has provided before in funny ways - meeting drew, my current job, etc. I definitely believe that was God's way of reminding me that He will take care of me...so thanks SUZ!!

Well, off to Dallas I go...

tryin' to get my ducks in a row

I walked out from Drew's apt to find these little friends...they were walking all around the parking lot and grass so I decided to chase them...haha.

I also made a pit stop to the brand new dunkin donuts as soon as I got there. It's not that far from Drew's house so this could be a problem.

We looked all weekend for a place to live but so far...it was pretty frustrating. as long as i dont have a job, i am pretty much inhibiting us from getting something bigger...which we need unless i leave everything in storage for a year. so we shall see. it'll work out...at least i hope so. i dont want to become a boxcar child lol

This would be my Mom's passenger side rear tire. RIP. We were pulling into the Target parking lot when we kept hearing weird noises from this tire. It was dead. 1 hour & some shopping later we were ready to go. Yay for AT&T Roadside assistance.

If you work out for 2 hours on Sunday, does it make up for not working out since Monday? I thinking not likely BUT...I am so sore.

My sis goes home tomorrow and I am so very sad. Here are the kids at Joe's Pasta & Pizza. We are officially regulars at this place & had to take my sis...2x in a week hahah. Sorry for the poor quality in the pic...we all forgot our cameras but luckily we have camera phones! :)

My friend Rachel is marrying Matt Silvestri - no relation. So we planned to put our announcements in for the same day!

Mmm Food!

Today was the day we got to try foods for the wedding. It was so fun and delicious. I will tell you that I am most excited about the pasta station! There is going to be so much food! But with my family, you would not expect any less.

Mom & Kathy have both gotten their dresses so that's exciting. I know my mom bought like 5 dresses but finally found the one she loved. And Kathy said it was the same for her. I'm very excited that they both got dresses that they love!

Invitations are starting to go out to all the out-of-towners. Everything is coming together. Its going to be here before we know it! I'm so excited :)

Friday the 13th

Today has been a Friday the 13th for sure. I'm ready to go to sleep and wake up tomorrow, onm the 14th.

This week has been so long and my body has just not gotten springing forward the memo. This whole week I've been dragging. It's been stressful and frustrating but it'll be ok. Tomorrow I get to go to the catering appt with my mom & sister (she leaves Monday). Since the groom is 5 hours away it'll be nice to have 2 other people's opinions :)

I'll be going to visit Drew next weekend...and to take all the fun stuff I got from the shower...poor guy...it's alot! Well, sorry theres not much exciting going on right now but I am trying to keep everyone updated :)

spring fake out

Only in NWA will it be 70 degrees when I get in my car to go home from work and when I get out 10 minutes later, its pouring so hard it hurts and its almost 40 degrees colder. My allergies can't handle this! :)

Catering tasting on Saturday. Yum! I'm pumped. Less than 2 months til the wedding!

bridal shower

My bridal shower was today and we definitely got so much stuff. I am so grateful for all the generous gifts and great friends. My kitchen will be pretty much fully stocked now! So exciting!

Snow Day Sunny Day

Today was an absolutely beautiful day!

Yesterday we got to go to fast lane. It was a blast. When I say I work with amazing people, I mean it with all my heart. They are such a blast to be around & I will miss them sooooo much when May comes....

Well, I'm going to pick my sis up from the airport! She hasn't been home since Christmas so we're all excited to see her!

Here it is: the ring. It caused so much happiness, so much torment, and too much drama.

ABC: YOU WIN! It's all people can talk about. Ratings skyrocketed last night. You turned a man that America used to love into the most hated man in America. Who cares who gets hurt as long as your precious ratings increase? His poor child. Lucky Melissa...except for the whole National Television break up. Has anyone else noticed that if he proposes to Molly, that will be at least 4 proposals from Mr. Jason Mesnick. Serial proposer.

And seriously, if Molly "had no idea", who acts like that? Who walks out to talk about being dumped absolutely glowing (because she won...it;s just a competition to her) announces on national tv that you'd take him back after you just got dumped. And who shoves her tongue down someone's throat who was engaged .2 sec before.

Ok enough bachelor. my shower is coming up & i am very excited :)

I got to see drew this weekend but the baseball tournament was SNOWED out. Yes, it is March and yes there was snow. Lots. I'll show pics in my next post. Also, Drew & I are completely compatible according to the Taylor Johnson temperament analysis :)

Well I'm off to watch my trash TV - and does anyone else think that this week of American Idol contestants are so much better than the past 2 weeks?
